The Undavalli Caves are a stunning example of 4th–5th century Indian rock-cut architecture, located near Mangalagiri, about 21 km from Guntur. Carved out of solid sandstone hill, the multi-storeyed caves feature intricate sculptures and a large reclining Vishnu statue, reflecting the artistic genius of the Vishnukundina dynasty. Set against the scenic banks of the Krishna River, the caves are a fascinating blend of natural beauty and ancient craftsmanship.
