Perched on a sacred hill in Mangalagiri, about 21 km from Guntur city, this ancient Vaishnavite temple is dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and is renowned for the unique ritual of offering jaggery water (panakam) — half of which the deity is said to miraculously consume, returning the rest as prasadam. The temple dates back to prehistoric times and is one of Andhra Pradesh's most revered pilgrimage sites, drawing thousands of devotees each week. The climb up the hill steps also rewards visitors with sweeping views of the surrounding plains.
